Hello everyone
I’m sat in my kitchen listening to some tunes and I thought I’d share some with you.
The last couple of weeks has been great for Big Big Love with plenty of enquiries and confirmations. It means that we’ll be busy boys over June to September playing you the very best in House, Indie, Pop, Garage and everything else. I say Garage as I’ve got a couple who want a Garage section. Can’t wait!!
Over the last few posts I’ve been looking into some of my favourite tunes over a number of genres. This time round I’ll be putting up the best of what I’ve been listening to at the moment (i.e. cooking music).
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to perfect the Thai Green Curry. I’ve searched high and low for the finest lemongrass, fish sauce and coriander Leeds has to offer. It turns out it wasn’t the ingredients I needed but the tuneage on in the kitchen while making that mattered. Anyway this is the one that did it. Enjoy!
When poaching a fairly larged sized river cobbler you need to make sure you get the timing just right. Setting the old alarm clock helps but for me there’s no better judge of a tender piece of white fish succulence than Flashmob’s tune Brick House. Get yourself down to the fishmongers, download the new Defected Miami album and whack on tea. You won’t be disappointed.
I can’t get enough of this next one. Smit has been banging on about M83 for ages but I couldn’t get into their last album. This new one however is a different tale for me. There simply is no better tune to roll out ravioli dough out to than this. Enjoy the fruits of my labour.
I can’t really relate this one to my cooking exploits. It definitely would fall into my Helen’s “too hard for tea” choices. This is off the Miami Noize 11 compilation from Boys Noize’s record label. Check it out as it os fantastic.
The last one I only downloaded this morning when I was waiting for my toast in the toaster. Please somebody let me play this! Love it.
